My trip to Orangery
After graduating from high school in my hometown Vimperk, I moved to the centre of the Czech Republic to pursue a Master's degree at Charles University and became a teacher for the first grade of primary school, specializing in Drama Education. In my first year at Orangery Primary School, I started my studies for the specialised activity - Prevention Methodologist (PedfUK), which I completed in June 2021.
Already during my studies I worked as a teacher in 5th grade and as a DV lecturer at the Hobby Center. During my teaching experience I travelled several times to France to collect valuable experience for one year stays.
My interests
I have attended a number of courses in which I focused mainly on children's wellbeing in school, on etopedics and communication..
I like to spend my free time in nature, with a good book and good people.

After graduating from high school in my hometown Trutnov, I studied teaching for the first grade at Charles University, specializing in special education. After graduation and a year of experience at the Special Primary School in Trutnov, the wind took me to the USA, where I spent 7 years. In Boston I studied teaching for kindergarten, worked as a kindergarten teacher and as a nanny. Due to my TEFL certificate, I was looking for a job in English education in the Czech Republic. The Orangery organization appealed to me not only for its international, but also for its loving and stimulating environment. I joined Orangery's English co-op, then Orangery Kindergarten, where I led the preschoolers and subsequently served as Vice Principal and Principal. I am delighted to be joining Orangery Primary School as the next chapter of my life and look forward to the challenges of schooling.
My interests: yoga, winter sports, culture and my family - two children and a dog.

In my work I focus on

difficulties at school or on a personal level. - Supporting parents with educational issues, communication with the child or dealing with crisis situations.

specific educational needs. - Preventive activities focusing on mental well-being, relationships between children and
development of social-emotional skills.

The role of the special educator
Depistance activities
Searching for pupils at risk of special educational needs and their placement in special educational care.
Diagnosis and intervention
Diagnosing special educational needs, collecting data about the pupil, determining a plan for pedagogical support and implementing interventions (e.g. re-education, stimulation).
Consulting activities
Providing information, advice and consultation to pupils, their legal representatives and teachers on special educational needs and procedures.
Methodological and coordination activities
Provision of methodological assistance to teachers, coordination of teaching assistants, participation in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and cooperation with external partners (school counselling centres, social services).
Creative activities
Participation in the development of school educational programmes, provision of appropriate teaching aids and didactic materials.
Cooperation and communication
The special educator works closely with the school management, class teachers, parents of pupils and the pupils themselves. She also works with school counselling centres, health and social services to provide comprehensive support for pupils with special educational needs.

The high school I graduated from was agricultural because my dream was to work in a zoo with animals. After my son was born, however, everything changed and I expanded my education by becoming a teaching assistant and then added a teaching minimum. I started working as a teaching assistant in a primary school and after some time as a tutor in a day care centre.
I enjoyed my work and I decided to expand my knowledge in the field of education - special pedagogy at Palacký University in Olomouc. I spend my free time listening to music, playing games of all kinds - I like to compete. I am the chairwoman of a non-profit organization for children, young adults with different types of disabilities, where I organize camps and leisure activities for these people.
