Information on enrolment to the 1st year of primary school Orangery s.r.o for the school year 2025/2026

Dates and venue

Enrolment for Year 1 at Orangery Primary School for the 2025/2026 school year will take place in the following days:

Tuesday 1 April 2025

Wednesday 2 April 2025

Enrolment will take place in the main building of the Orangery Primary School, Národních hrdinů 81, Prague 9-Dolní Počernice, in the presence of the child and both of his/her legal representatives. Children who will be 6 years of age by 31 August 2025 and children who were granted a deferment of school attendance in the previous school year may be enrolled.

Before enrolment takes place, it is necessary make an online reservation for a specific date (14.00 - 18.00) in the booking system using the button below.

What you will need to enrol and how enrolment will work

Please have your child's birth certificate and legal guardians' ID (ID/passport) ready for registration. Please pack slippers for your child. Enrolment will consist of two parts. The first part will be group work where they will complete several play activities with other children and teachers, the second part will be independent work. Meanwhile, the legal guardians will fill out an Application for Admission, draw a registration number for their child and have an interview which will focus on the expectations of the legal guardians and the vision, concept and teaching methods of our school.  

Criteria for admission

The following criteria will be considered when deciding on admission to Year 1 at Orangery Primary School:

• the child's readiness to start compulsory schooling at Orangery Primary School (15 points),

• sibling is already a pupil at Orangery Primary School (5 points),

• understanding and compliance of the child's legal representatives with the vision, values, educational methods and overall concept of Orangery Primary School (30 points).

For the school year 2025/2026, a maximum of 16 pupils will be admitted to Year 1. The children who obtain the highest number of points will be admitted. If more than one child receives the same number of points and it is not possible to admit all these children due to capacity reasons, the Headmistress will decide between these children by lot.

Enrolment results

The list of admitted and non-admitted children under their registration numbers will be published on Thursday 3 April 2025 at 12.00 here on the Orangery Elementary School website and posted in both school buildings.

Decision on acceptance and signing of the contract

For the legal representatives of the admitted children from Thursday 3 April 2025 at 12.00 pm a second online booking system has been launched on the school's website, where legal guardians of admitted children book a specific date to collect their admission decision and sign the contract. Legal guardians of children who are not admitted will be informed by the Headteacher by post without undue delay.

until 4 April 2025 - 13:00

Please note that the collection of the admission decision and the signing of the contract will take place the next day, i.e. on Friday, April 4, 2025, in the time range from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. according to the reservation system, in the office of the school principal in the main building of the Orangery Primary School - Národn1ích hrdinů 81, Prague 9 - Dolní Počernice. Please have both legal representatives present to receive the admission decision and sign the contract.

Within five working days of signing the contract, the legal representatives of the admitted children will be obliged to pay the first part of the tuition fee in the amount of 15 000,-. If they fail to do so within the specified time, the contract will be terminated and the vacant place will be offered to the legal representatives of the child who is placed next in the order of enrolment.
